CUBA CITY, WIS. – Gro Alliance, the nation’s largest, independently owned contract seed corn and soybean production company, announces it recently completed construction of a conditioning facility dedicated to organic and high-purity, non-GMO seed corn in Cuba City, Wis.
The new facility is in a separate, dedicated building with an isolated dust control system and seed conditioning and packaging equipment. It will only be used for organic and high-purity (less than 0.5 percent GMO presence) seed corn. It also features an organic seed coating system.
“Consumer demand continues to drive the non-GMO and organic corn markets.” said Jim Schweigert, President of Gro Alliance. “This new facility allows us to support those markets by producing more 99.5 percent GMO free seed corn in the U.S., both organically and conventionally.”
